Deep litter rake (DSV)

The deep litter rake is designed to push the top of litter under the box in the bedding of the cow. Hereby the lounge is smooth and softer, and the litter dries better thus reducing the risk of diseases. To scrape the litter back in the lounge, topping up is less needed to still keep sufficient litter in the box, resulting in a litter savings. The deep litter rake is designed to work with a wheel loader and scrape litter as solid fraction, compost, chopped straw or sand surfaces in a floating box.

The deep litter rake is usable to the left and the right side with one double-acting control valve, the rake is locked in the folded position and in working position and can be used pushing and pulling. Tilting is the tipping function of the wheel loader. While moving, the rake can be adjusted in height and the rake continues to follow the ground.

Description

The deep litter rake is available in two different types. The DSV is suitable for mini-loaders and the DSVZ on wheel loaders, tractors and telehandlers. Because the DSVZ is suitable for heavier vehicles, the structure is heavier and the base has a broader design, so that a wider vehicle can be connected to it.

The width of the normal rake (DSV) is 1.260 mm in folded position, the working width is 2,500 mm from the heart of the wheel loader and the operation in the box is 1,500 mm. The weight is ± 230 kg. The width of the vehicle may not exceed 1,600 mm.

The heavier rake (DSVZ) has a working width from the centre of the wheel loader of 2,950 mm and the flatter part in the box is 1,500 mm. The weight of the DSVZ is ± 325 kg. The width of the vehicle may not exceed 2,400 mm.

The deep litter rake is available with the attachments that belong to your vehicle (for the attachment parts, see the document: Kemp attachment parts).

Options:

Rubber slide: It is possible to install a manure rubber scraper, with which you can slide the grids or the waiting area clean. During scraping, the rake can be adjusted in height and the scraper will follow the bottom. With the DSV the width of the rubber is 1,800 mm and with the DSVZ 2,400 mm.

Sand flatter: It is possible to slide a tube over the teeth with which the litter is flattened, so that sand can easily be levelled.

Removable attachment parts: It is possible to order the attachments not welded but mounted with bolts and nuts. This allows you to easily replace the attachments when necessary.
